This book is about the american history and right now im in the part of the book where Franklin is riding in the carriage. While hes in the carriage he is talking to the carriage boy and Franklin is heading to Ireland for a meeting. 1771 is when it took place and in Ireland they were fighting because the citiziens were against the soldiers. 4.could the england win and how would they be able to.

  2. I Think it's a cool way to look at a historic event by looking at how something else could happen. You should look up a lot about army life and tactics.

  3. Likewise, there should be a question mark at the end of the question. A better way to rephrase the question could be How could the English have won the American Revolution? I believe that this may be a good research question.

  5. Andrew, I love "what ifs" I often wonder that very question. I don't know if a what if could work here...but it might. Let's look as a particular character or event and see how very close (and likely) the colonists (Americans) were to actually losing the war. Then it can be a paper about how unlikely it was for us to win. Let's think of a way to put that in a question. Also, remind me to help you check out a book called 1776 by McCullough. This is an historian that talks a lot about this very issue.
